Lockhart Shire offers a range of fantastic locations that are available for you to use and enjoy. We actively encourage local and community events to be held on land owned and managed by Council.

Depending on the type of event you plan to hold, you many need approval from Council to hold your event.

Lockhart Shire Council encourages organisers to check the calendar of events so that your event doesn’t clash with another event, or your event may even complement another.

The below flowchart indicates if you will be required to complete an approval process and what application kit you will need.

Steps:

  1. Determine what kit you are required to complete
  2. We encourage event organisers to contact us to discuss your event
  3. Complete and email your application to Lockhart Shire Council – mail@lockhart.nsw.gov.au  at least 2-3 months before your event).
  4. If your event requires additional consent, a staff member will contact you to advise if this is required.
  5. Confirmation returned from Lockhart Shire Council that your event has been approved.
